You might have heard it said at one time or another that there is no such thing as truth, only what we believe is the truth. You can see that again and again whenever a number of people witness a scene and everyone of them has a different version of what happened. We all place our "filters" and prejudices over what we see and hear, where we "pre-judge" what we see or hear based on our beliefs. And through our filters, we "see" things that probably aren't there at all. And we completely miss things that are ridiculously obvious to others.
The same is true of fear...
Most times the things we avoid, whether they're duties, actions, people, situations... doesn't matter what they are - those things, most often, are not scary. Those things can't hurt us. Nothing about the things that send us into panic is usually dangerous. Yet they make people quake with fear anyway.
Because of skewed views.
Faulty perceptions.
Colored by our personal and societal filters.
So don't feel afraid of the things you should not fear!!!
Cheers,
Mukesh
